The STEM curriculum found on the ASU Mars Education Program website is a collaborative effort between the ASU Mars Education Program and the NASA Mars Public Engagement Program at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Our vision is to bring relevant and exciting science and engineering activities to the classroom that are educationally meaningful and engaging to the students.
These materials incorporate education research and best practices in teaching and are designed so teachers can teach the core concepts they are tasked with teaching through the excitement of exploration.
These lessons are inquiry-based and align to the National Science Education Standards, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and have been developed for educators in K-12 classroom environments. This curriculum promotes and encourages students' practice of the 21st Century Skills to gain a deeper understanding of how science and engineering work in the real world.
