Date:
Saturday, September 26, 2009 - 9:00am - 4:30pmTo the Moon, Mars, and Beyond!
A new NASA mission to the Moon and NASA's ongoing exploration of Mars have created exciting opportunities to integrate STEM themes (science, technology, engineering, and math) into your science classroom.
Attendees of this NASA-sponsored workshop learned how activities that focus on exploring Mars and the Moon can inject STEM themes, plus inquiry-based learning, into a science curriculum. They also learned how to use NASA-based materials to fire up students' imaginations while enhancing and reinforcing key concepts such as the scientific process, critical thinking, and analysis.
